After their rescue from the New Republic of Texas the crew has taken refuge at the ancestral home of Katsuko's father, Noboyuki Kondo. The ancient fortress is to serve as the bulwark against the enemies assembled against them.  ShotFox Industries, Tanto Corporation, the Minutemen as well as the shadowy Harada Mori all have forces making way to Flower Palace. All have one goal in mind: the destruction of the crew of the Runaway Horse and Noboyuki Kondo

But the feared Noboyuki Kondo carved his empire out of blood and conflict and he isn't one to lay down the crown. He isn't just the head of Ippon Armored Data Services, an outfit known for it's charter of delivery or death. He's also Hans father-in-law. Hans must navigate the complicated, murky waters of the relationship with Kondo while preparing to defend his crew from the coming threat. All roads lead to Flower Palace and the fallout will shake the crew to the core.
